We made a toast to testing and drank a cup of brain juice to get our brains fired up before testing today! :)
It WORKED!!!!  They did an AWESOME job! They were focused, used all their test taking & reading strategies, and did their best thinking! There are over 60 reading questions total and we completed about 1/3 of the test today!
Tomorrow we will complete the second portion, and Monday we will finish up! Keep them sleeping and eating well!
They will need LOTS of encouragement! Thanks for all of your support!!!!

We have VISITORS!!!!

We will be observing the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly over the next few weeks!

Games Galore!

Wayne Thiebaud!

In Art Adventure we learned about Wayne Thiebaud today! He likes to paint sweets. We drew and watercolor painted
ice-cream cones! Shelby brought ice cream and toppings to make our own sundaes afterward!

Origami Butterflies!

As many of you know ... we have visitors in our room ... caterpillars! We are observing & documenting changes as they become Painted Lady butterflies.  I had the funniest thing happen to me yesterday. I was hanging these beautiful origami butterflies that the kids made up in the hallway. A 2nd grader came and stood in front of the display in AWE! He just stared and stared. Then he asked Mr. Wienen and myself "Was that EXIT sign always there?" I'm still laughing! He didn't even notice our butterflies! Be sure you take a peek if you come to CES!
